Citroën's Line
C8, the MPV...
Presentation
The C8, Citroën's executive people-carrier, has sold almost 80,000 units since its launch in June 2002. With its
attractive styling, sliding side doors, equipment and impeccable road manners, it ranks among the MPVs setting the
standards for comfort and safety. The five stars obtained in EuroNCAP crash tests confirm its high standards of
passenger protection.
To provide drivers with all the information and assistance necessary for relaxed driving, the C8 has gained several
new features: a speed limiter coupled with cruise control, a tyre under-inflation detector showing the wheel concerned,
and parking assistance with the vehicle silhouette and detection areas displayed on the multifunction screen.

Style
In terms of styling, as befits a car of status, the C8 gains 16-inch wheels on all versions and a new body colour,
Fer Grey.
The design of the Citroën C8 front breaks with top-of-the-range MPV tradition and gives it a welcoming character and
charm.
Its generous grill, structured by a central bar and chromed chevrons, the "smiling" oval of the lights and the rib on
the bonnet flanked by its two curves give the C8 a friendly appearance.
Its compact and domed bonnet, its large headlights covered in smooth clear glass, combine with its wide cowl to express
dynamism and ruggedness.
Its welcoming cabin of the C8 with its sliding electric doors can accommodate up to eight people in three rows. A range
of attractive interior ambiences are available, including a new option with the first level of trim, featuring dark grey
fabric seats with bamboo trim.
The central instrument cluster on the high-tech dashboard is also upgraded. Whether it has three dials, or two dials
and a large 7-inch 16/9 colour screen, the cluster gains orange lighting and new screen-printing of contemporary
design.
Comfort et technology
The C8 has two side sliding doors giving ideal access and making it possible to open the doors in all
circumstances.
The side doors can be controlled in many ways, including from the front seats without leaving the vehicle or by
remote control.
The C8's seats have an original design that perfectly illustrates its modularity and continues its policy of giving
equal comfort to all passengers and tailoring the features.
A full stow control allows the user in just one gesture to easily fold the seatback flat and then stow it. The headreast
retracts automatically during the stow operation.
The high seat modularity makes it possible to adapt the the boot volume from 225 dm3 to 2948 dm3 according to your
requirements.
This great capacity, with a minimum of 1153 mm between the wheelhouses and the inside height, make it extremely
practical.
LThe Citroën C8 features a complete series of equipment items and functions to fully control the vehicle and allow
the driver to concentrate on the road :
- emergency braking assistance and automatic flashing of the warning lights in case of hard braking;
- all versions can be fitted with the ASR and ESP systems. Exclusive finishing includes a speed regulator;
- a low tyre pressure detection system, on versions fitted with aluminium wheels;
- a programmable overspeed alert can also be activated, which allows the driver to preset a max. speed not to be exceeded.
Engines
Petrol
- 2.0i 16V 143 hp DIN
The 2.0i 16V engine is at the bottom of the range, and develops a 100 kW CEE power (143 DIN hp) at 6000 rpm with a 190 Nm torque at 4100 rpm. It is characterised by high power and torque at intermediate speeds.
- HDi 130 hp DIN FAP with particle filter
- HDi 109 hp DIN FAP
The HDi 130 FAP engine coupled with the particle filter develops a power of 94 kW CEE (130 DIN hp) at 4000 rpm and provides a torque of 314 Nm at 2000 rpm. It features the latest advanced technologies including the variable-geometry turbocharger, an air-intake system providing variable swirl, two balancer shafts to limit vibrations and a twin-mass engine flywheel to filter cyclical engine vibrations. This engine is aimed at customers looking for performance and pleasure while maintaining economy in use.
The HDi 109 FAP engine coupled with the particle filter develops a power of 79 kW CEE at 4000 rpm and provides a maximum torque of 270 Nm at 1750 rpm. The high torque from low speeds (190 Nm at 1250 rpm) makes for flexible driving. This engine has "variable swirl" distribution to ensure complete combustion and obtain a good performance-to-pollutant emissions ratio. This engine is designed for customers concerned with cost of use who also want high driveability.
